Achiote - Ground Seeds Spice

Achiote seeds, also well-known as "Annatto" are an orange-red or dark-red seasoning and also frequently are used as food coloring. Achiote originates in tropical regions from Mexico to Brazil. Annatto gives an orange-red color to foods, but sometimes also it is used to give its flavor and aroma. Its taste people describe as "sweet, peppery and slightly nutty".
